What are the foundational beliefs behind MFC?

Sinful Humankind. We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We believe that sin separates us from God and incurs a just punishment based on His perfect judgment.

The Gospel. We believe that our only hope against sin, and the punishment and separation from God it incurs, is through Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is one of the three persons of the Triune God, and that the Father is renewing all things through His life, death, and resurrection. We believe that the blood of Jesus and His victory over death washes us clean of our sins and allows us to live as sons and daughters of our Creator.

The Bible. We trust the Bible as the inerrant Word of God and as our final authority. It is the foundation upon which we create our show and digital products. Our guiding Bible passages are Proverbs 22:6, Colossians 3:16, and Philippians 4:8.

Fishers of Men. We believe that as followers of Christ and creatures made in God’s image, we are to love others and to share the Good News of Jesus by sharing our time, talents, and treasures (all of which ultimately belong to God) to others. We seek to honor this calling through Meditations for Children.

Does your show include stories in the fantasy genre?

Yes, some of our stories fall under the genre of fantasy. Some of these are in the vein of the Narnia series, were allegory and metaphor are utilized to teach scriptural truths. Other stories are more akin to Peter Rabbit or Brambly Hedge, where animals and inanimate objects are given human-like characteristics (anthropomorphism), such as the ability to speak or wear clothes.

We believe that fantasy stories are a wonderful way to use our God-given imagination to learn and grow. All our stories, regardless of the genre, are wholesome and child-centered. Not all our stories have an explicitly biblical message, but they will not contradict the truth of Scripture or the message of the Gospel.

Our stories will sometimes have “villains” because it is important that children understand that there is an enemy who stands against God, and that while this enemy has ultimately been defeated by Jesus, we must equip ourselves with the Gospel, through the Holy Spirit, to fight this enemy during our time on earth. We also believe it is important that children read and hear stories about overcoming challenges through Godly character and action.

We understand that Christians can have different convictions when it comes to fantasy stories. Each episode includes a Table of Contents in the Show Notes, which lists out the segments that are included within the episode. If you feel led to do so, you can pre-screen or skip any episodes that include fantasy stories.

What is your program schedule?

Episodes for Season 1 will be released starting in the Summer of 2025. New episodes will be released every other Tuesday. Season 1 will end just before New Year 2026, and includes a midseason break.

On months that new episodes are not released, members will still have access to the entire Club Membership Library, along with new downloadable products each month of the year, even if a MFC podcast season is not currently ongoing. However, members are welcome to cancel their membership if they do not want to pay the membership fee when a season is not ongoing, and simply restart their membership when the new season begins.
